We're simply the best..

2011 has shown to be a great year so far for 282 Squadron after progressing to great heights in the Sir Alan Lees Trophy competition, a competition to find the best ATC Squadron in the United Kingdom. The Squadron has made it to the final 6 units out of 969!

The Squadron was nominated by London Wing as the Sir Alan Lees Trophy representatives for 2011 and after facing a togh inspection by the Regional Commandant, was succesfully selected as the best Squadron in the London and South East Region... 1st out of 171 Squadrons!

The final stage was representing the Region at Corps Level, facing the best of the other 5 Regions in the UK.

Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Barbara Cooper visited the Squadron on the 6th June to carry out the final inspection. The cadets worked extremely hard to get the Squadron prepared and were ready to show their best.

The inspecting Officers were very impressed after their visit and the cadets done a fine job of presenting their 'TopCrew'.

The Squadron has done extremely well to reach the final top 6 Squadrons in the Corps! Good luck TopCrew.. Results will be published soon, fingers crossed..
